Rachel is a potter who has been working with clay for over 17 years. Her functional earthenware designs focus on bright and current colour trends and bringing natural elements into her designs with a bit of whimsy.
Rachel began teaching children’s pottery classes 5 years ago from her home studio after having worked as a social worker for over 15 years in Waterloo Region.
It has been a very exciting and rewarding experience for Rachel to be able to combine her passions for creating with clay and working with children and individuals with special needs. Rachel also continues to be a regular instructor at he Homer Watson House and Gallery in their Children’s and Senior’s Outreach Programs.
Rachel is a wife and mother to three busy young boys. She is an active member in her community and participates and contributes to the organization of The Frederick Art Walk annually.
