Andre Kwiecinski was an internationally recognized Kitchener-based artist. Andre, who taught himself his craft, was an already well-established artist before emigrating from his native Poland to Canada in 1981.
His wonderful talent was widely recognized by the artistic world. He exhibited his works frequently throughout Europe, Canada, and the U.S.A. and received numerous awards in recognition of his unique gift. His watercolours captured his love of nature and his use of light, colour and texture; he made a simple landscape memorable.
Much of his work was done in areas of South-Western Ontario, near his home in Kitchener. However, his fascination with the Canadian landscape led him to visit British Columbia, the Yukon, and Nova Scotia. While on the West coast, Andrew lectured at the Emily Carr School of Fine Art. His work can be found in finer public, corporate and private collections across North America and Europe.
